Research Interests
My primary research interests are in the areas of public international law, particularly focusing on the law of the sea. My current research topic is on the "development of the new law of the sea on marine biodiversity of areas beyond national jurisdiction", also called "BBNJ", in which I have been deeply involved in my work experiences for many years. In addition, I am also currently involved in research on ocean and Arctic policy in collaboration with other research institutions.
Message for Students
I have more than 10 years of experience in international law and policy practice at the government-related organizations, including at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and a private think-tank. I welcome students who are interested in the study addressing global and emerging ocean issues from international law perspectives.
