This symposium is hosted by the Graduate School of Maritime Sciences, Kobe University, Nippon Kaiji Kentei Kyokai, and Maritime Science Promotion Foundation of Kobe University, for the graduate students studying and researching in the fields of maritime sciences. We invite many students and academic staffs from overseas partner universities and domestic universities and colleges which have the departments of the fields of maritime sciences. We hold this symposium every two years, and last time we had 52 participants from 16 universities and colleges. In the 2nd symposium, we will discuss topics on Marine Engineering and Maritime Transport Sciences. To this symposium, we would like to invite one supervising academic staff and two participant students studying either research field from your university.

In Japan, Kobe is known as an international port city for its unique style with exotic atmosphere from ancient times. Our University is also distinctive university, having many exchange agreements with the universities around the world.
