Teacher certificate (educational staff license)

1. In the Faculty of Maritime Sciences, students can obtain the certificates listed in the following table if they obtain the number of credits prescribed by each department.

Before participating in Teacher Practical Training (Kyo-iku Jissyu), it is necessary to have taken subjects on the teaching profession (10 credits) other than Teacher Practical Training

3. Overview of taking subjects on the teaching profession and on teaching subjects

Students who wish to obtain a teacher certificate must obtain (1) "credits for subjects on the teaching profession" and (2) "credits for subjects on teaching a subject," and shall refer to the table in the Student Handbook to prepare a course plan. Other than those subjects, they must also take (3) "Subjects specified by ministerial ordinance."
